BANGKOK, Thailand (September 15, 2015) – John Deere today introduced the John Deere 3036E, its latest tractor model to serve customers in the high potential agricultural market in Southeast Asia. The John Deere 3036E is suitable for rice farming in all conditions and is the result of five years of research and development.

The new model will debut in Thailand this September at SIMA ASEAN Thailand 2015 at Muang Thong Thani. Highlights of the product include its lightweight, high performance, and energy savings, all which are designed to help customers increase productivity and reduce cost.

"Development of this product emphasizes John Deere's commitment to Thailand," said Michael Gause, the director of sales and marketing for John Deere Asia. "Thailand is an important business hub for agricultural business in Southeast Asia, which is a region that has high potential in agricultural development."

Gause said John Deere has done extensive research to develop high-quality machinery that can help improve efficiency, reduce cost, and increase productivity, helping farmers improve the quality of their lives.

John Deere 3036E is the latest model that is example of this development work. John Deere will debut the model in Thailand before expanding sales to other countries in Southeast Asia that have similar equipment needs based on geographical conditions. John Deere 3036E is a versatile tractor designed for rice farming. It can work in all type of field conditions including both paddy and dry land. John Deere 3036E is a high-performance model with a 36-horsepower, three-cylinder diesel engine. The tractor features "SynReverser" allowing an operator to change direction on the go. The simple, low-effort hydrostatic power steering gives excellent maneuverability even under wet land application and the ergonomically-designed operator station provides comfort to user. This model is also designed to be a very fuel-efficient tractor with company tests showing an average fuel consumption of 1.40 – 1.60 ltr per rai.

Gause said the 3036E fits into a horsepower category that is very popular among Thai farmers, accounting for about 40 percent of the total demand in the market. Deere plans to introduce the product with many nationwide activities in collaboration with dealers. Equipment customers will have a chance to win a free 3036E tractor as well as other prizes worth of more than 600,000 baht in total after test drives of the new tractors during October 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016. The introduction also includes a special financing promotion through John Deere Leasing.
